FIEPAG: THE GRAPHIC INDUSTRY STRONG TRADEMARK IN LATIN AMERICA
The FIEPAG, which is accomplished since 1967, today is one of the graphic sector main business and professional updating centers in the Southern Hemisphere. With more than 40 years, the trade fair reflects the graphic industry development and dynamism in Latin America, besides being positioned as the trade fair most important and strongest trademark in the market.
At FIEPAG 2010, the visitor/purchaser public may find machines, equipments, raw materials, inputs and services for the large, middle or small sized graphics, and appropriate to the Brazilian and Latin American market reality.
The trade fair is integrated to the INTERNATIONAL PACKING, PRINTING AND LOGISTICS WEEK, which also includes the BRASILPACK (International Packing Trade Fair), FLEXO LATINO AMERICA (International Flexography Trade Fair), the SALÃO EMBALA INOVAÇÃO (Packing design and development converters and agencies), and the BRASIL SCREEN & DIGITAL SHOW (International Serigraphy and Digital Printing Trade Fair).
It is expected that the INTERNATIONAL PACKING, PRINTING AND LOGISTICS WEEK 2010 attracts about 1,000 exhibitors from more than 26 countries and about 45 thousand visitors/purchasers from 30 countries.
The FIEPAG is supported by the Brazilian and international sector entities, such as ABIGRAF and ABIMAQ, in addition of being the official trade fair of CONLATINGRAF, the main sector entity in Latin America.
MARKET INFORMATION
Brazilian graphic market is one of the largest in the world
The Brazilian graphic sector occupies a prominence position in the international market. A Primir-NPES study puts the country among the 10 largest graphic markets in the world, with enormous growth potential in an average term, just besides China, India, Mexico, Indonesia, Russia, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine. The Abigraf (Brazilian Graphic Industry Association) Projections show that the Brazilian graphic sector will get sales of about R$ 24 million in 2009.
The Brazilian graphic products purchases total in 2008 was US$ 369 million, according to the Abigraf Economy Department (Decon) data. Meanwhile the exportation reached US$ 255 million in the same period. The Brazilian exportation main destinations were United States (26% of the total), Argentina (14%), Venezuela (8%), Portugal (4%), and Mexico (4%). In the importation extreme the highlight goes to Spain (13% of the total), United States (12%), Germany (8%), United Kingdom (7%), China (6%) and Argentina (6%).
